History of Success.

King's College, the first independent college of business established in North Carolina, was founded in 1901 by John Hugh King. In its early history, the school was located in Charlotte's central business district. It was moved to its present Lamar Avenue location in the late fifties to better serve the needs of its students.  We announced in June, 2018 that, due to declining enrollments, we would no longer enroll new students and that all of the current students would have the opportunity to complete their programs and graduate in 2018.

For years, King's has served Charlotte and the two Carolinas by providing thorough and practical career training for young men and women. Because of its distinguished service, the school is well recognized by many leading business firms and medical offices.
